  Research-based information on farm management, nutrient and pesticide application, livestock health, and more. In particular, see the Soil management and health page.
• Midwest Cover Crops Council
  Specialists from each state have reviewed this information to ensure it is locally relevant. Use their cover crop selector tool to figure out which species are best for you. The cover crop recipes are great starting points if you are new to cover crops.
• Soil Health Nexus
  A collaboration of North Central Region University Extension soil health educators offering videos of soil health demonstrations, guides to on-farm research, and resources for soil health for educators. See their new collection of information about farm economics.
• Local Soil and Water Conservation Districts
  Connect with local conservation staff to make a soil health management plan or apply for cost-share. These people have the most comprehensive knowledge about available technical and financial assistance.
• NRCS - National Resources Conservation Service - Minnesota
  Contact your local service center to identify soil scientists who can help assess your soil, make conservation plans, and guide you to federal cost-share programs. 
• Minnesota Ag Water Quality Certification Program
  A program of the MN Dept of Agriculture. Get recognition for your conservation activities, regulatory certainty, and financial assistance.
• SARE - Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education
  Visit their “Resources and learning” section for some of the best publications on soil management and cover crops.
• Minnesota Soil Health Coalition
  Look for a mentor or mentee in this producer-led network focusing on farmers teaching farmers about soil health practices. 
• Sustainable Farming Association
  A network of growers offering soil health field days, workshops and cafe chats year-round, as well as on-farm consults for members.
• Land Stewardship Project
  Beginning farmer training, soil health workshops for farmers and landowners, grazier networks and advocacy.
• Soil Health Institute
  A national research and networking organization.
